So right now I'm starting off this directory page as a simple list. However, in the future, we may want to separate out by type of company, or some other groupings. And then companies can list themselves in whichever categories apply to them (or more than one if more than one apply).

My current thoughts on types of companies falls into Software, Hardware, and Services. With Software containing Software Publishers, Custom Software Developers, Software Resellers, Software Retailers and Web Software Developers (really a sub-category of Custom Software Developers, but there are so many in town that just specialize in this). Hardware would contain Hardware Retailers, Hardware Resellers, and Computer Repair. Services would contain IT Consulting (strategic, not development), eCommerce (both B2B and B2C--so it includes ASPs) and Maintenance.

I think this is overkill for right now, but I wanted to throw this out as a discussion point for the far future when the directory fills out.
